Face of Mars

In 1976 NASA's viking 1 spacecraft was circling mars and took a picture of martian landmass that caused many to think that there was life on mars. This land mass is known as the face of mars because it resembles a human like face. Since the discovery of the face it has since become a cultural icon. It has starred in a Hollywood film, appeared in magazines, books, and has been showing up in the tabloids for 30+ years. Many people think that the face is proof that intelligent life lives on mars.
